Three years on from the fire at the Glasgow School of Art, restorations continue. The Mackintosh Building went up in flames in May 2014, resulting in the ruin of its iconic library.
With restorations on Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s masterpiece underway, many students of the GSA have been re-homed to the Reid Building, which sits directly opposite the Mackintosh Building.
The Mackintosh Tour also had to make the move across the street. The award winning tour explores Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s relationship with the GSA, his development as an artist and as an architect. Originally part of the Mackintosh Festival, the tour’s move means that its focus is now on the building’s exterior design.
